TRICE : DECODED
Our latest graphic with long time collaborator Lee Trice on ‘The Proud Tee’ is a collage of clippings,
photos, & movie characters. There is a lot to digest so we thought why not break down a piece of the
puzzle. One of the images is from the 1988 Sci-Fi film ‘They Live’ – A movie where the main character
discovers a special pair of sunglasses which allows him to see the world as it really is. He’s able to see
the ruling alien population and the real messages behind their massive campaign to keep humans subdued.
Lee incorporated parts of the movie including the ruling aliens. Check the graphic and short video
clips of ‘They Live’ below & see if you can’t find where another current brand was inspired from
the film as well.

YOU SEEN THAT NEW NEW?
Some new additions in the online store including the ‘Proud’ Tee by long time collaborator Lee Trice.
One of his best to date, you can find hundreds of references we’ll start to break down in another post shortly.
New to the Artist Connection is Australian transplant / Brooklyn resident Karan Singh. Bringing his
witty & refreshingly clean illustrative style to the unspoken (until now) motto for the brand. As we’re
the last minute kings, for everything, but also when our best work is done. Can you relate?
Also new to the Artist Connection is designer+illustrator Oliver Barrett hailing from Clevland, OH.
We aligned with him & his ‘Completely Incomplete’ series and did one for the godfather of soul, the
minister of funk himself. The second installment dropping soon
Look out for these plus other Beandip classics – JFK + Snarl prints now available on a crewneck
